You can also explore the State Museum, which houses works of art and artefacts that tell the long history of the republic. For fans of antique weapons, the Museum of Modern Arms is a real gem. Ravenna is a city that captures the imagination with its ancient mosaics, but it also offers much more. You can visit the Tomb of Dante, the great Italian poet who chose this city as his last refuge. After exploring its artistic masterpieces, I recommend taking a walk in the Parco della Pace, a green oasis in the heart of the city .
If you love shopping, don’t miss the shops selling ceramics and blown glass, typical local products. And for a tasty break, try a stuffed piadina at one of the city’s many kiosks.

One of the main attractions is the Rocca Malatestiana, a medieval fortress that dominates the town. Walking along the walls of the Rocca is like stepping back in time. The Rocca Malatestiana is not only a historical site, but also hosts cultural events and shows during the summer.
After visiting the Rocca, I recommend you explore the historical centre of Cesena: the Piazza del Popolo is the heart of the city, where you can admire the Masini Fountain and take a break in one of the historical cafés.
